How did our nutrition changed from 1960 to 2014 ? The consumption of
meat went from 26% to 20 % The reason could have been the Hygienic crises of
poultry and meat during these years and the economical crises of the last 10
years. But at the same time the consumption of fruits and vegetables went from
18% to 15% and the one of cereals from 14 to 12 % Even though the consumption
of fruits and cereals has reduced the obesity had increased. Fish went from 2,5
% to 5% and eggs and dairies from 8 to 12 %. Sugars products ( sweets, drinks,
sugar ) from 5 to 7%. Sodas increased from 4 to 7% and alchool consumption
declined. These clarify that the increase of obesity in the population is
not
dependent only on the type of food we eat, but
more predominantly on the type of activity we keep our body on.
